Not due to pregnancy

U.S. pop singer Britney Spears says she is not pregnant for a third time despite recent photographs showing her with a bloated stomach.
The Toxic singer says a new medication she is taking was responsible for her recent weight gain and not a third pregnancy, the Daily Mail reported Saturday.
I am not pregnant it is just my medication that makes me bloated, Spears said of recent pregnancy rumors.
A source close to the Baby One More Time star told the British newspaper Spears has struggled with her weight since the birth of her 20-month-old son Jayden James.
Meanwhile, a friend of Spears said she is spending some time with actor Mel Gibson and his wife in Central America to help her gain some perspective in her life.
Mel and his wife Robyn clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible, the unidentified friend told the Daily Mail.
There are no expectations, there is no agenda. It's simply an act of human kindness, one neighbor reaching out to another.

Promises to be home for birth of sis's baby

A friend close to the Spears family that during the baby shower, the pop star told her little sister that she wanted to stay with her during the birth of her child, who is due to enter the world on June 29. "At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time," E! Online quoted the friend as saying."I'm not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited," the friend added.
However, Britney will have to ask her dad for permission to go. "She had to ask him if it was ok to go back for the shower," the friend said."He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It's not that he doesn't want her there for her little sister. It's just that he thinks it's best to keep Britney close to home right now," the friend added.

Britney apologises..

The troubled singer, who was hospitalised in January after refusing to hand back her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline, reportedly vowed to get her life back on track in a speech at her sister Jamie Lynn's recent baby shower.
A source said: "Britney was awkward and upset at first at first, but on her mom Lynne's advice she took the initiative and gave a speech about how sorry she felt about her wayward behaviour in recent months.
"She said: 'I'm sorry to have put you through so much. I'm strong deep down and I think the whole thing has made me even stronger. I think now I'm on the right track to being a better mother and a better person, someone you and my boys can be proud of.'"

Britney, who was recently granted more time to see sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, impressed guests at the baby shower with her "healthy and wholesome appearance".
The source added to Closer magazine: "She was beaming and really seemed back to her old self. She and Jamie Lynn were delighted to see each other. They were holding hands, eating cake and enjoying some quality time together."
